Reddit has introduced two new AI-powered advertising products at Cannes Lions 2025. These tools tap into Reddit’s massive archive of user-generated posts to help brands align more authentically with real community conversations.

Two Tools Under the “Community Intelligence” Banner

Reddit Insights (Alpha): An AI-based social listening platform that lets brands track real-time topics and trends across Reddit’s 22+ billion posts and comments. It is designed for campaign planning, audience understanding, creative testing, and sentiment analysis. Early testers like Publicis used it to uncover cultural moments and monitor brand health in campaigns for clients such as Hershey and Comcast.

Conversation Summary Add‑ons (Alpha): This feature allows brands to feature authentic Reddit comments beneath ad creatives. AI curates positive, relevant user feedback that appears as in-ad social proof. Tests with Jackbox Games and Lucid Motors showed click-through rates increased by about 19 percent compared to standard image ads .

Real-Time, Community-Led Engagement

Reddit positions the new tools as part of a shift toward community-first marketing. Instead of relying on influencers or static ads, brands can now collect real user discussion and sentiment and pull insights that align with ongoing conversations among Reddit’s niche audiences.

Reddit COO Jen Wong emphasized that with Community Intelligence, the platform is offering voices of real people at scale paired with transparent attribution back to original posts.

Why Reddit’s Approach Stands Out

Unlike other platforms racing toward fully automated ads, Reddit is leveraging AI to amplify authenticity – not create artificial content. Its goal is to preserve user credibility while giving brands access to genuine community context.

The initiative comes as Reddit continues to monetize its vast human-generated content archive. The announcement drove a nearly 7 percent rise in Reddit’s stock, highlighting the financial stakes tied to its advertising innovation.

What to Watch Next

If brands embrace these features, Reddit could position itself as a standout player in ad tech – emphasizing authenticity and engagement over conventional targeting. But success depends on adoption, measurement, and maintaining trust among users.
