ElevenLabs has released The Eleven Album, its first major music project created with the help of its AI music model, Eleven Music. The compilation brings together established artists and AI creators in fully original tracks that span genres such as pop, rap, R&B and electronic dance music. The album is now available to stream on Spotify and online.
Artists and Creative Approach
The project pairs beloved performers like Liza Minnelli and Art Garfunkel with other musicians and producers. Contributors also include Patrick Patrikios, rapper IAMSU!, songwriter Emily Falvey, composer Demitri Leiros, and AI-native acts such as Kai and Angelbaby. These collaborators crafted original tracks that blend their artistic styles with musical ideas generated by Eleven Music.
ElevenLabs says the album operates under a “creator-first, rights-secure framework,” meaning each artist retains full ownership of their work and collects all streaming revenue from their tracks. The project showcases how AI can serve as a tool for musical exploration rather than a replacement for human creators.
AI as a Creative Partner
Eleven Music is designed to generate high-quality compositions from prompts supplied by artists. The model allows contributors to experiment with new sounds, merge genres, or accelerate creative workflows. ElevenLabs describes the album not as a product of machines alone but as a collaboration where human musicians remain at the center of each piece.
Liza Minnelli said she was drawn to the project because it honors artistic intent and ownership, and because it uses her voice and tools in service of expression rather than replacing creativity. Art Garfunkel highlighted the evolution of music alongside technology and said that ElevenLabs’ approach respects musicianship while opening new possibilities.
Why It Matters to the Industry
The release arrives amid ongoing debate about AI’s role in music. Some artists and platforms have pushed back against AI tools trained on copyrighted material without permission, while others explore partnerships that allow controlled use of AI. ElevenLabs is positioning The Eleven Album as a demonstration of ethical, artist-centric AI innovation.
The album’s release also underscores how AI tools are starting to reshape creative collaboration in music, offering new ways to blend human artistry with machine assistance while keeping creators in control of their work.
